Wrigley Field will come alive again on Sunday as the Cincinnati Reds and the Chicago Cubs finish up their MLB series.

In the Friday opener, the Reds managed a 3-2 win. On Saturday, the Cubs squeaked one out 8-7.
For the Sunday game, the Reds will be sending out Luis Castillo. In his 94.1 innings and 5-8 record this year, Castillo has a 5.53 ERA with 91 Ks and 33 BBs.

Scooter Gennett is the Reds’ leading hitter this year, entering the weekend on 105 hits, 52 runs, 14 homers and 58 RBI. On Saturday, Gennett had two hits and two runs.

Over on the Cubs’ side, they’re going with Jon Lester on Sunday. Across 100.0 innings and a 11-2 record this year, Lester has a 2.25 ERA with 79 Ks and 35 BBs.

Javier Baez is tops for the Cubs this season on 87 hits, 55 runs, 16 homers and 61 RBI. In game two, Baez ripped a homer with four hits and two RBI.

The Reds are 7-0 in their last seven in game three of a series and 4-0 in their last four Sunday games. The over is 5-0 in the Reds’ last five in game three of a series and 4-1 in the last five Sunday games.

Meanwhile, the Cubs are 2-5 in their last seven in game three of a series and 39-13 in Lester’s last 52 home starts. Chicago is also 49-21 in Lester’s last 70 starts and 2-8 in his last 10 Sunday starts.

After a sketchy run of outings, Castillo came out strong his last time up with one earned in 6.2 innings on six hits. As for Lester, he’s been pretty solid lately and hasn’t given up more than two earned in any of his last six starts. I can’t find a whole lot of reasons not to pick the Cubs here.
