Chicago White Sox +168 / Cleveland Indians -178 O/U: 9
The Cleveland Indians and the Chicago White Sox will meet up on the MLB diamond on Tuesday.
In the Monday matchup of these teams, the White Sox peppered in runs across five different innings, resulting in a nice 5-2 win.
For Tuesday’s game, the Indians will be sending out Carlos Carrasco in the start. Over his 40.1 innings and 3-3 mark so far, Carrasco has a 4.91 ERA with 56 Ks and seven walks.
Cleveland could pull up just two hits in the Monday game, and both belonged to Francisco Lindor, who finished with a solo homer and two RBI.
Over on the White Sox’ side, they’re sending out Manny Banuelos in the start Tuesday. In his 27.0 innings and 2-2 record this year, Banuelos has a 6.67 ERA with 27 Ks and 16 BBs.
The big hitter for the Sox in the Monday win was Yoan Moncada, who logged two hoemrs, three hits, two RBI and two runs.
The Indians are 9-3 in their last 12 Tuesday games and 1-4 in Carrasco’s last five road starts. Cleveland is 1-4 in Carrasco’s last five Tuesday starts and the under is 4-1 in his last five overall.
Meanwhile, the Sox are 15-36 in their last 51 Tuesday games and the under is 7-3-4 in their last 14 Tuesday games. Chicago is 0-8 in their last eight games facing Carrasco in a start, and the under is 7-1 in his last eight starts versus the White Sox.
Carrasco had a couple of sketchy starts at the end of April and the beginning of May, logging eight earned on 13 hits in 14.1 innings. Considering those games, Carrasco has also given up zero earned in three of his last five starts.
Banuelos, conversely, hasn’t been good over his last pair, with 14 earned on 18 hits in 7.0 innings. Those games were against hot-hitting Boston and Cleveland however, so take it with a proverbial grain of salt if you wish.
All things considered, I like Carrasco to have a good outing here and I’m going Indians.
