Starter Mike Pelfrey gave up a single run on five hits over six frames for a no decision while seven relievers saw action. The bats totaled ten hits and walked five times with Torii Hunter smacking a three run double in the first while Joe Mauer hit a homer in the top of the 13 for the winner. The Twins turn to Phil Hughes on the bump for his second start against the White Sox this season. Hughes defeated Tampa Bay 3-2 the last time out with both runs allowed on five hits in seven innings.

The Chicago White Sox are looking to make the American League Central a four team race  The White Sox were heating up but have dropped three in a row to cool down. Minnesota  are 7-1 in their last 8 Friday games and  are 7-3 in their last 10 road games while the over is 9-4 in their last 13 overall. I have been a sports fan since I was old enough to pick up a ball and have always been drawn to competition. I don't participate in sporting events any longer but I do like to provide my opinion on games and writing gives me that outlet. I won't always be right but I always put 100% in to every article I do whether it's the World Series or an 0-10 college football team. Mitch shares that same passion and allows me to express myself in my own way.
