The Chicago White Sox and the Oakland A’s face off on Tuesday in Chicago for game two of their series.

The Chicago White Sox have been fun to watch this season and Monday was no different as they beat the visiting A’s. Tyler Flowers hit two home runs including a walk off game winner, Conor Gillaspie hit a home run, and Avisail Garcia hit a home run as the White Sox scored five runs on six hits. Starting pitcher Hector Noesi allowed four hits and three runs while striking out four over 6.1 innings to not factor in the decision as Javy Guerra earned the win. For Tuesday’s game the White Sox start John Danks who has lost his last four decisions. For the season Danks has allowed 189 hits and 96 earned runs while striking out 112 over 168.2 innings for a 9-10 record and a 5.12 ERA.

The Oakland A’s continued their skid as they let a probable win get away from them on Monday in Chicago. Josh Reddick and Jed Lowrie each hit home runs and Derek Norris had two hits as the A’s scored four runs on seven hits. Starting pitcher Sonny Gray allowed four hits and three runs while striking out four over 7.0 innings to not get a decision as Eric O’Flaherty blew the save and Jesse Chavez took the loss. For Tuesday’s game the White Sox start Jon Lester who has lost his last three decisions. Since being traded to Oakland Lester has allowed 42 hits and 14 earned runs while striking out 42 over 48.2 innings for a 3-3 record and a 2.59 ERA.

Chicago is 4-7 in their last 11 home games, 9-21 in their last 30 games, and 0-4 in Danks’ last four home starts. Oakland is 8-21 in their last 29 home games, 2-9 in their last 11 games, and 0-5 against a left-handed starter. Oakland is 7-4 in their last 11 games against Chicago.

The A’s are reeling and Lester has struggled in Chicago in the past and it just looks like another bad spot for Oakland.
