David Kohl-USA TODAY Sports

The Pittsburgh Pirates and Cincinnati Reds meet Sunday in MLB action at Great American Ball Park.

The Pittsburgh Pirates look for another victory to build on their eight-game winning streak. The Pirates have scored 25 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in eight of their last 11 games. The Pittsburgh Pirates have won 10 straight games when scoring more than one run. Corey Dickerson leads the Pirates with 103 hits and 40 RBI while Starling Marte and Josh Bell have combined for 184 hits and 95 RBI. Ivan Nova gets the ball, and he is 5-6 with a 4.38 ERA and 79 strikeouts this season. Nova is 4-7 with a 4.39 ERA and 55 strikeouts in his career against the Reds.

The Cincinnati Reds could use a feel good victory after losing six of their last 10 games. The Reds have allowed 24 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in 10 of their last 13 games. The Cincinnati Reds have lost seven of their last 10 games when allowing more than two runs. Offensively, Scooter Gennett leads the Reds with 115 hits and 63 RBI while Jose Peraza and Joey Votto have combined for 209 hits and 85 RBI. Matt Harvey gets the ball, and he is 5-5 with a 4.63 ERA and 69 strikeouts this season. Harvey is 2-2 with a 4.85 ERA and 30 strikeouts in his career against the Pirates.

The Pirates are 5-1 in their last 6 during game 3 of a series, 6-0 in their last 6 vs. National League Central and 7-0 in their last 7 overall. The Reds are 7-3 in their last 10 during game 3 of a series, 11-4 in their last 15 home games and 4-1 in Harveys last 5 starts. The Pirates are 2-5 in the last 7 meetings in Cincinnati and the under is 11-5 in the last 16 meetings.

Harvey has looked as good as he has in years, as he has an ERA of 3.64 in 64.1 innings with the Reds and has allowed one or less runs in three of his last four games. However, Harvey still isn't the toughest pitcher in the world to hit, as he's allowing a .264 batting average on the season and has given up 13 homers. I'm simply not willing to say that Harvey is back to being one of the top pitchers in the NL after 12 starts with a new team. Meanwhile, we're getting plus money with a Pirates club that's won eight straight games. The Pirates have lost just one game since July 8. I can't turn down this price with one of the hotter teams in baseball.
