Cleveland Indians -167 / Baltimore Orioles +157 O/U: 8.5
The Baltimore Orioles and the Cleveland Indians will continue their MLB series on Friday.
In the Thursday opener, the Indians were down 5-1 in the third, but then the bats came alive on the way to a 14-7 victory.
For Friday’s game, the Orioles will be sending out Dylan Bundy in the start. Over his 40.2 innings and 1-5 mark so far, Bundy has a 5.31 ERA with 40 Ks and 16 BBs.
The Orioles had some solid offensive performances on Thursday, and finished with 10 hits overall. Trey Mancini finished with a pair of hits, two runs and a three-run homer to lead the way.
Over on the Indians’ side, they’re going with Jefry Rodriguez on Friday. Over his 24.2 innings and 1-2 mark so far, Rodriguez has a 2.92 ERA with 15 Ks and eight walks.
Cleveland out-hit the O’s 14-10 on Thursday, and five players had multiple hits. Jason Kipnis was great with two hits, three runs and a whopping six RBI in the game for the Indians.
The Orioles are 21-51 in their last 72 in game two of a series and 13-38 in the last 51 Friday games. Baltimore is 5-13 in Bundy’s last 18 starts with five days’ rest and 6-20 in his last 26 starts.
Meanwhile, the under is 3-1-1 in Cleveland’s last five Friday games and 8-3-1 in their last 12 in game two of a series. The under is 4-0 in Rodriguez’s last four starts overall and 4-0 in his last four versus a team with a losing record.
For the most part, Bundy has been pretty decent lately, as he’s given up more than three earned just once in his last five starts. Trouble is, Bundy just isn’t getting any help from the offense and has lost five of his last six decisions.
As for Rodriguez, he’s riding three straight quality starts and I don’t see too many reasons not to think he’ll get one here. I’m going Indians.
