The Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians will match up to finish their MLB set on Wednesday.

In the Tuesday game, we had a great defensive battle as the Indians eked out a 2-1 win in 10-inning, walk-off fashion.

For Wednesday’s outing, the Reds will be sending out Anthony DeSclafani in the start. Over his 59.1 innings and 2-3 record this year, DeSclafani has a 4.70 ERA with 62 Ks and 19 BBs.

Cincinnati managed seven hits in the Tuesday game. Yasiel Puig was the only player with two hits, and he managed a double (as did Joey Votto).

Over on the Indians’ side, they’re sending out Zach Plesac for the start Wednesday. In his 19.1 innings and 1-1 mark so far, Plesac has a 1.86 ERA with 14 Ks and three walks.

Cleveland mustered just six hits in the victory Tuesday, and Francisco Lindor was the only player with two hits. Carlos Santana posted a key solo homer in the fourth inning there.

The Reds are 5-16 in their last 21 Wednesday games and 1-5 in their last six in game two of a series. Cincinnati is 5-1 in DeSclafani’s last six road starts and 2-5 in his last seven starts with five days’ rest.

Meanwhile, the Indians are 4-1 in their last five in game two of a series and 23-8 in their last 31 Wednesday games. The under is 36-14-2 in Cleveland’s last 52 Wednesday games and 25-12-4 in the last 41 in game two of a series.

DeSclafani had a tough run of starts in May, but in his last pair he’s done better with four earned in 10.2 innings overall. The bad news is, DeSclafani hasn’t gotten a win since May 6.

As for Plesac, he’s been great in limited action so far this year, with just four earned over his 19.1 innings in three starts. I like Plesac to go deep into another game here and guide the Indians to a victory.

Pick:
Cleveland Indians -120
