|Date & Time||Friday May 25, 2018, 7:10 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Cleveland Indians -145 / Houston Astros +135 --- Over/Under: 7
Coming up from Progressive Field on Friday, the Houston Astros and the Cleveland Indians will be continuing their MLB series.
In the Thursday installment of this set, the Astros secured an 8-2 victory, plating all their runs in the fifth (3) and sixth (5) innings.
For Friday’s game, the Astros will be bringing out LHP Dallas Keuchel. In his 63.0 innings and 3-6 record this year, Keuchel has a 3.43 ERA with 48 Ks and 17 BBs.
Jose Altuve leads the way for the Astros hitters, entering this set with 63 hits, 25 runs and 22 RBI. On Thursday, whiffed 0-for-5.
Over on the Indians’ side, they’re going with Corey Kluber in the start Friday. Over 72.1 innings and a 7-2 record this year, Kluber has a 2.36 ERA with 71 Ks and 10 walks.
Tops in hitting for the Indians this season is Francisco Lindor with 60 hits, 38 runs, 12 homers and 27 RBI. In the opener, Lindor had a hit and a run.
The Astros are 4-1 in their last five in game two of a series and 35-17 in their last 52 Friday games. Houston is also 11-2 in Keuchel’s last 13 Friday starts and 2-5 in his last seven road starts.
Meanwhile, the Indians are 23-9 in their last 32 in game two of a series and 49-21 in their last 70 Friday games. Cleveland is also 43-16 in Kluber’s last 59 starts and 12-4 in his last 16 starts versus the AL West.
Keuchel has had a few bumps in the road this year, but overall he’s been solid. Still, he’s coming off four earned on six hits in 5.0 innings. Kluber has been a little more reliable and is sitting on seven straight quality starts. With Kluber on the hill, I can’t pick against the Indians here.
