Cleveland Indians -125 / Minnesota Twins +115 O/U: 8.5
The Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians will match up on the MLB diamond to finish up their series on Sunday.
The Twins managed a 5-3 win on Friday in the opener, then on Saturday Minnesota kept it going with a 6-2 victory.
For Sunday’s game, the Twins will be sending out Jose Berrios in the start. Over his 117.0 innings and 8-5 mark so far, Berrios has a 3.00 ERA With 104 Ks and 23 BBs.
Minnesota put up 11 hits in the win on Saturday. Jorge Polanco led the team with three knocks, and also plated a run.
Over on the Indians’ side, they’re going with Shane Bieber in the Sunday game. Across 112.1 innings and an 8-3 mark so far, Bieber has a 3.45 ERA with 141 Ks and 23 BBs.
Cleveland had only five hits in the Saturday loss. Two of those came on solo homers from Jose Ramirez and Bobby Bradley.
The Twins are 0-4 in the last four in game three of a series and 6-2 in Berrios’ last eight road starts. Minnesota is 2-5 in Berrios’ last seven Sunday starts and 1-4 in his last five starts.
Meanwhile, the Indians are 55-27 in their last 82 in game three of a series and 7-3 in Bieber’s last 10 starts. Cleveland is 7-3 in Bieber’s last 10 starts on grass and 5-2 in his last seven home starts.
Berrios had a nice string of seven straight quality starts going, but had that run snapped his last time out with three earned in 5.0 innings. He hasn’t won any of his last six starts (0-3).
As for Bieber, he’s been very consistent over his last five, allowing no more than two earned in any of them. He’s also 3-1 since June 15. I like Bieber to keep it going here and help the Indians get a win.
