The Line: Cleveland Indians -222 / Minnesota Twins +205 --- Over/Under: 8
On Thursday out at Progressive Field, the Minnesota Twins and the Cleveland Indians will be finishing up their MLB set.
After splitting the first pair of games, on Wednesday Cleveland bagged a 5-2 win.
For the Thursday matchup, the Twins will be bringing out RHP Jose Berrios. In his 146.0 innings and 11-8 record this year, Berrios has a 3.51 ERA with 148 Ks and 36 BBs.
Eddie Rosario has the hits lead for the Twins this year, coming into game three on 135 hits, 72 runs, 20 homers and 66 RBI. On Wednesday, Rosario had one hit.
Over on the Indians’ side, they’re rolling with Corey Kluber on Thursday. Across his 154.0 innings and 14-6 record this year, Kluber has a 2.63 ERA with 146 Ks and 20 BBs.
Francisco Lindor is the Indians’ hits leader this year on 134 hits, 97 runs, 28 homers and 68 RBI coming into game three. On Wednesday, Lindor ripped a three run homer.
The Twins are 4-1 in their last five in game four of a series and 9-1 in Berrios’ last 10 starts versus the AL Central. Minnesota is also 6-2 in Berrios’ last eight Thursday starts and 4-17 in his last 21 road starts.
Meanwhile, the Indians are 43-16 in their last 59 Thursday games and 6-2 in Kluber’s last eight Thursday starts. Cleveland is also 32-14 in Kluber’s last 46 home starts and 50-22 in his last 72 starts.
Over his last three starts, Berrios has been pretty decent with five earned in a span of 18.2 innings all together. As for Kluber, he had a couple of rough outings last month but has been great in his last two with one earned over 16.1 innings—plus a complete-game shutout. I’m going to go with Kluber to stay hot here and take the Indians.
