MLB | Los Angeles Angels (21-13) at Colorado Rockies (20-15)
Rick Scuteri-USA TODAY Sports

Up in the rare air of Coors Field on Wednesday, the Los Angeles Angels and the Colorado Rockies will be finishing up their MLB set.

In the Tuesday game, the Rockies managed a 4-2 victory.

For Wednesday’s matchup, the Angels will be going with RHP Jamie Barria. In his 13.0 innings and 2-1 record this year, Barria has a 3.46 ERA with six Ks and six BBs.

Tops in hitting for the Angels heading into this set was Mike Trout, with 42 hits, 29 runs 24 RBI and 12 homers. On Tuesday, Trout had a run scored with an 0-for-3 line.

Over on the Rockies’ side, they’re rolling with Tyler Anderson on Wednesday. Over 33.1 innings and a 2-0 record this season, Anderson has a 3.78 ERA with 37 Ks and 16 walks.

Heading up the Rockies’ attack coming into this series was Nolan Arenado with 34 hits, 18 runs, eight homers and 21 RBI. In the Tuesday matchup, Arenado had a hit and a run.

The Angels are 19-8 in their last 27 in game two of a series and the over is 18-7-1 in their last 26 in game two of a series. LA is also 1-4 in their last five games versus a left-handed starter and 7-2 in their last nine interleague games versus a left-handed starter.

Meanwhile, the Rockies are 6-1 in their last seven in game two of a series and 4-1 in the last five Wednesday games. Colorado is also 4-0 in Anderson’s last four starts and 4-0 in his last four starts on grass.

Barria has a small sample size to his credit, but has given up a total of five runs in 13.0 innings on 10 hits. As for Anderson, he’s been real solid this year, with two or fewer runs earned in each of his last six starts. I’m going with Anderson to stay hot here and help the Rockies to a win.

Pick:
Colorado Rockies -135
