The playoff hopeful Texas Rangers try to continue the momentum they found late at the Houston Astros Friday night when the two teams hook up again Saturday.

Texas destroyed Houston 9-5 scoring seven times the final three innings including four during the top of the eighth. The Rangers raced in runs via Adrian Beltre's single, Jurickson Profar's walk and Leonys Martin's double. The Astros dropped in the first run of the evening off of Jason Castro's bat.

Jeff Baker and Craig Gentry however gave Texas the lead 2-1 with outs during the fourth. Jose Altuve's and Castro's RBI-doubles during the home-half rocked Houston back in front. Brett Barmes' home run added to the Astros' advantage a frame later. Profar's RBI-single however during the seventh brought the Rangers within a run. A.J. Pierzynski, David Murphy and Altuve drove in runs late.

Texas instills their trust next in Derek Holland (9-6, 3.02 ERA) on the hill. Holland is 1-2 in his last three decisions, but 7-1 on he road only losing 7-2 April 27 to the Minnesota Twins allowing four runs, three earned, during seven innings.

In Holland's seven away wins the opposition has accounted for nine runs, five earned, during 51.1 frames. At Houston last year Holland gave up five runs during five innings in a 6-5 Rangers defeat.

The Astros combat with Brad Peacock (1-4, 7.25 ERA). In Peacock's two Minute Maid Park appearances the Oakland Athletics and Seattle Mariners tagged him with losses scoring two and seven runs during 4.1 frames apiece.

On Aug. 4 Peacock tossed brilliantly and was beaten 3-2 at Minnesota despite going seven strong. Texas may do the same with Houston striking for four runs or fewer seven of Peacock's 10 outings this season.

On July 1, 2008 I typed into Google "How Do I start A Blog" and I started my first website called "Miami Mitch's Place" where i shared my college football Picks and predictions as well as opinion. By the Fall I had heard from many that the title made it sound like the site was about Miami so I changed it to "College Football Place" (, After the 2008 college football season I change focus and launched, it wasn't long after that when I realized I just wanted one place to add all sports, and that's when Sports Chat Place was born.

This site is a big Thank You to all of our readers, visitors, and community where we have been given a platform to talk to the masses about sports and hopefully help put you on some winners. If you need to reach me just shoot an email to [email protected]
