The Minnesota Twins and the Kansas City Royals will meet up on the MLB diamond Saturday to continue their series.

In the Thursday opener of this set, the Royals took a 4-1 win. On Friday, the Twins eked one out 8-7.

For the Saturday game, the Twins will be sending out Jose Berrios in the start. Over his 97.2 innings and 8-3 record this year, Berrios has a 2.86 ERA with 94 Ks and 17 BBs.

Minnesota piled on 13 hits in the Friday game. Eddie Rosario was the top contributor with his three hits and two RBI.

Over on the Royals’ side, they’re going with Danny Duffy on Saturday. Across 54.1 innings and a 3-3 record so far, Duffy has a 4.64 ERA with 46 Ks and 21 BBs.

KC logged seven hits on Friday and had a 3-0 lead after the first. Cheslor Cuthbert had a great night with three hits, two runs, a homer and four RBI.

The Twins are 21-6 in their last 27 in game three of a series and 11-2 in their last 13 Saturday games. Minnesota is 5-0 in Berrios’ last five road starts and 12-4 in his last 16 starts.

Meanwhile, the Royals are 16-54 in their last 70 in game three of a series and 0-7 in their last seven Saturday games. KC is 5-13 in Duffy’s last 18 home starts and 8-21 in his last 19 versus the AL Central.

Berrios is on a nice roll right now. He’s sitting on five straight quality starts, giving up a total of seven earned during that span and posting a 2-1 record.

As for Duffy, he’s really only got one good start in his last four (two earned; 7.0 innings) and otherwise has 14 earned in a 12.2-inning span.

I like Berrios to keep it going here. I’m going Twins.
