Kansas City Royals +130 / Philadelphia Phillies -140 O/U: 9
The Philadelphia Phillies and the Kansas City Royals will meet up in MLB action on Saturday to pick up their series.
In the Friday edition of this set, the Royals logged two runs in the first inning and kept piling on toward a 5-1 win.
For Saturday’s game, the Phillies will be bringing out Zach Eflin. In his 42.0 innings and 4-3 record so far, Eflin has a 3.00 ERA with 31 Ks and seven walks.
In the Phillies’ loss Friday, Bryce Harper walked three times, had one hit and plated a run across a four-hit effort for Philly.
Over on the Royals’ side, they’re going with Brad Keller in the start Saturday. Across 47.1 innings and a 2-3 mark so far, Keller has a 3.99 ERA with 36 Ks and 28 BBs.
Alex Gordon was the big Royals hitter on Friday, banging out two homers with three RBI on the evening.
The Phillies are 1-9 in Eflin’s last 10 road starts and 0-5 in his last five in game two of a series. The over is 4-0 in the Phillies’ last four Saturday games and the under is 3-0-1 in Eflin’s last four starts overall.
Meanwhile, the Royals are 4-0 in their last four in game two of a series and 10-3 in their last 13 Saturday games. KC is 6-2 in Keller’s last eight home starts and 2-5 in his last seven starts.
Eflin has been on a nice roll lately, with three quality starts in his last four attempts, and one of those was a complete-game, seven-hit, one-run gem against Miami.
As for Keller, he had a solid appearance his last time out, but in the two prior to that he’d given up 10 earned in 11.1 innings.
I like Eflin to keep it going here and get the Phils a win.
