The Texas Rangers and Los Angeles Angels meet Tuesday in MLB action at Angel Stadium.

The Texas Rangers could use another victory after losing 10 of their last 14 games. The Rangers have scored 14 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in seven of their last 10 games. The Texas Rangers have split their last eight games when scoring four or more runs. Shin-Soo Choo leads the Rangers with 141 hits and 61 RBI while Jurickson Profar and Nomar Mazara have combined for 234 hits and 144 RBI. Adrian Sampson gets the ball, and he is 0-0 with a 54.00 ERA and one strikeout this season. This will be Sampson’s first career game against the Angels.

The Los Angeles Angels look for a victory after winning seven of their last 11 games. The Angels have scored 15 runs in their last three games and three or less runs in seven of their last 10 games. The Los Angeles Angels have won seven of their last eight games when scoring  more than two runs. Andrelton Simmons leads the Angels with 146 hits and 70 RBI while Mike Trout and Justin Upton have combined for 259 hits and 145 RBI. The Los Angeles Angels didn’t list a starting pitcher at the time this article was posted.

The Rangers are 2-8 in their last 10 Tuesday games, 1-5 in their last 6 road games and 1-4 in their last 5 overall. The Angels are 5-11 in their last 16 vs. American League West, 2-5 in their last 7 during game 2 of a series and 2-5 in their last 7 Tuesday games. The under is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Los Angeles and 8-3 in the last 11 meetings.

The Texas Rangers continue to have a hard time stringing wins together and have a pitching staff that gets rocked more times than not. The Los Angeles Angels obviously aren't world beaters, but they've had a lot more recent success and have been consistent offensively as of late. I've been fading the Rangers for much of the second half of the season and will continue to do so. One victory doesn't change a whole lot here.
