The Line: Los Angeles Dodgers -213 / Los Angeles Angels +197 --- Over/Under: 7
The Los Angeles Angels and Los Angeles Dodgers meet Saturday in MLB action at Dodger Stadium.
The Los Angeles Angels look for a spark of consistency after splitting their last 10 games. The Angels have scored 13 runs in their last three games and three or less runs in seven of their last 11 games. The Los Angeles Angels have lost six of their last seven games when scoring three or less runs. Mike Trout leads the Angels with 103 hits and 50 RBI while Andrelton Simmons and Albert Pujols have combined for 185 hits and 93 RBI. Andrew Heaney gets the ball, and he is 5-6 with a 3.84 ERA and 96 strikeouts this season. Heaney is 1-2 with a 5.19 ERA and 19 strikeouts in his career against the Dodgers.
The Los Angeles Dodgers look to stay hot after winning nine of their last 12 games. The Dodgers have scored 10 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in six of their last 12 games. The Los Angeles Dodgers have won 20 of their last 24 games when scoring more than one run. Matt Kemp leads the Dodgers with 91 hits and 60 RBI while Chris Taylor and Cody Bellinger have combined for 167 hits and 82 RBI. Alex Wood gets the ball, and he is 5-5 with a 3.88 ERA and 88 strikeouts this season. This will be Wood’s second career game against the Angels.
The Angels are 3-8 in their last 11 Saturday games, 3-14 in Heaneys last 17 road starts and 3-7 in Heaneys last 10 starts. The Dodgers are 20-8 in their last 28 interleague games, 23-9 in their last 32 interleague home games and 30-14 in their last 44 Saturday games. The Angels are 2-6 in the last 8 meetings in Los Angeles and the under is 6-1 in the last 7 meetings.
The Los Angeles Angels continue to stink up the joint on the road and finding a way to lose last night was no different. No matter how good Heaney has been this season and how overpriced the Dodgers often are, you just can't back a team that's lost as much on the road recently than the Angels. Oh, and Heaney hasn't had any success on the road either. The Dodgers are in a groove right now and the winning is rubbing off on everybody. I'll take the Dodgers to win again, and the RL to add value to the wager.
