The Line: Milwaukee Brewers -131 / Arizona Diamondbacks +121 --- Over/Under: 9
On Tuesday from Miller Park, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Milwaukee Brewers will be continuing their MLB series.
In the opener on Monday, Milwaukee scored twice in the first inning and rode the wave to a 4-2 win. There were only nine hits combined in that game.
For Tuesday’s game, the Diamondbacks will be bringing out RHP Matt Koch. Over his 37.2 innings and 2-2 record this year, Koch has a 4.06 ERA with 20 Ks and nine walks.
AJ Pollock led the way for the Diamondbacks coming into this series with 44 hits, 23 runs, 11 homers and 33 RBI. On Monday, Jake Lamb hit a solo homer.
As for the Brewers, they’re going with Jhoulys Chacin on Tuesday. In his 52.0 innings and 3-1 mark this season, Chacin has a 3.63 ERA with 36 Ks and 23 BBs.
Heading up the Brewers lineup entering this series was Lorenzo Cain with 43 hits, 27 runs and 14 RBI. On Monday, Cain had a solo homer and two runs.
The Diamondbacks are 5-0 in their last five Tuesday games and the under is 5-2 in their last seven in game two of a series. The under is also 6-2 in Koch’s last eight starts and 6-2 in his last eight starts on grass.
Meanwhile, the Brewers are 8-2 in their last 10 Tuesday games and 11-4 in their last 15 in game two of a series. Milwaukee is also 5-1 in Chacin’s last six starts and 4-1 in his last five starts in game two of a series.
Koch had a run of nice games going there for a while, but stumbled in his last outing with eight earned on nine hits in 4.1 innings against Milwaukee. As for Chacin, he’s got three straight solid starts under his belt, and allowed one earned on two hits in 7.0 innings in his last start—versus the Diamondbacks. I’m going to go with Chacin to have another solid game here and pick Milwaukee.
