The Line: Milwaukee Brewers -110 / Arizona Diamondbacks +100 --- Over/Under: 8.5
Coming up Wednesday from Miller Park, the Arizona Diamondbacks and the Milwaukee Brewers will be finishing up their MLB series.
In the Monday opener, the Brewers secured a 4-2 win. On Tuesday, Milwaukee eked out a 1-0 victory.
For the Wednesday game, the Diamondbacks will be bringing out Zach Godley in the start. Over his 52.1 innings and 4-3 record this year, Godley has a 3.78 ERA with 49 Ks and 23 BBs.
Heading into game two of this set, AJ Pollock led the way for the Diamondbacks on 44 hits, 23 runs, 11 homers and 33 RBI. On Tuesday, David Peralta, Jake Lamb and Ketel Marte each had one hit.
Over on the Brewers’ side, they’re going with LHP Brent Suter. In his 47.2 innings and 3-3 record this year, Suter has a 4.72 ERA with 36 Ks and 10 BBs.
Leading the way for the Brewers coming into game two was Lorenzo Cain, with 45 hits, 29 runs and 15 RBI. On Tuesday, Cain had two hits.
The Diamondbacks are 1-5 in their last six during game three of a series and 0-5 in their last five Wednesday games. Arizona is also 1-4 in Godley’s last five Wednesday starts and 1-5 in his last six starts in game three of a series.
Meanwhile, the Brewers are 5-1 in their last six Wednesday games and 6-2 in Suter’s last eight home starts. Milwaukee is also 2-5 in Suter’s last seven starts and 5-2 in his last seven starts with four days’ rest.
Suter had a bit of a sketchy outing in Colorado, but then bounced back in Minnesota with a nice 5.2-inning, one-earned effort. Godley is coming off a nice outing as well, 6.0 innings with four hits and one earned. This should be a decent pitching matchup if both guys are on, but I feel like Suter has been a little more consistent. I’m going Milwaukee here.
