Milwaukee Brewers -205 / Texas Rangers +185 O/U: 10
The Texas Rangers and the Milwaukee Brewers will meet up on the MLB diamond to continue their series on Saturday.
In the opener on Friday, Milwaukee charged late with three runs in the seventh inning. The Brewers fought the Rangers off with a great walk-off 6-5 win.
For Saturday’s game, the Rangers will be sending out Pedro Payano in the start. Over 15.2 innings and a 1-0 record this year, Payano has a 3.45 ERA with 13 Ks and nine walks.
Over on the Brewers’ side, they’re going with Adrian Houser in the start Saturday. This year across 63.2 innings and a 4-5 record, Houser has a 4.24 ERA with 65 Ks and 23 BBs.
The Rangers are 4-1 in their last five in game two of a series and 1-5 in their last six Saturday games. The under is 4-1-1 in the Rangers’ last six in game two of a series as well.
Meanwhile, the Brewers are 0-4 in Houser’s last four starts and 0-4 in his last four on grass. Milwaukee is 5-2 in their last seven Saturday games and the under is 4-0 in their last four in game two of a series.
Payano doesn’t have a huge body of work to look at, but in his two starts this season he’s given up five earned on 12 hits in a total of 9.2 innings.
As for Houser, he’s surrendered five earned on 12 hits over 10.0 innings in two starts since coming back out of the pen.
I’m not super confident with either of these guys, and in those situations I lean toward the home team, which is Milwaukee here. Staying away, though.
