Minnesota Twins -260 / Baltimore Orioles +240 O/U: 9
The Baltimore Orioles and the Minnesota Twins will meet up on the MLB diamond Saturday to continue their series.
In Friday’s opener, the Twins jumped out to an early 3-0 lead and never looked back in a dominant 6-1 win.
For the Saturday game, the Orioles will be sending out RHP Dan Straily. In his 14.2 innings and 1-1 record this year, Straily has an 8.59 ERA with six Ks and six walks.
The Orioles had a couple of good offensive performances on Friday. Jonathan Villar finished with two hits and a run. Trey Mancini also put up three hits, but struck out to end the game with two runners on.
Over on the Twins’ side, they’re going with Jose Berrios on Saturday. Across 33.1 innings and a 3-1 mark this year, Berrios has a 2.97 ERA with 33 Ks and eight BBs.
The big hitter in the Twins’ victory Friday was Nelson Cruz, with two solo homers among his three hits. Minnesota’s offense loved the long ball Friday, hitting five as a team.
The Orioles are 19-47 in their last 66 in game two of a series and 14-41 in their last 55 Saturday games. The over is 4-0 in Baltimore’s last four Saturday games and 20-8 in their last 28 in game two of a series.
Meanwhile, the Twins are 2-5 in Berrios’ last seven Saturday starts and 22-5 in his last 27 home starts. Minnesota is 5-1 in Berrios’ last six starts and 4-0 in their last four Saturday games.
Straily came out of the gate with two rough outings, tossing 4.2 innings with 10 earned on 13 hits. Since then, Straily has been better with four earned on eight hits in 10.0 innings.
As for Berrios, he kicked things off with three straight quality starts, then faltered a little bit (but still won) versus Baltimore his last time up with four earned in 6.0 innings. I like Berrios to keep it going here and help the Twins get another win.
