The Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Twins will be meeting up on the MLB diamond Friday to kick off their series.

The Tigers are coming off a series against the Angels. Detroit split the first two games of that set, but then were blown out 13-0 in a shutout defeat on Thursday in the finale.

For the Friday game, the Tigers will be going with Tyson Ross in the start. Across his 1-4 record and 5.34 ERA this year, Ross has 30 strikeouts to his credit.

Over on the Twins’ side, they took on the Blue Jays this week. Toronto lost each one of those three games 8-0, 3-0 and 9-1.

On Friday, the Twins will be sending out Jake Odorizzi in the start. In his 4-2 record and 2.78 ERA, Odorizzi has put away 38 batters via K.

The Tigers are 4-0 in their last four after a slots and 20-45 in their last 65 road games. Detroit is 15-36 in their last 51 Friday games and 13-40 in their last 53 versus a team with a winning record.

Meanwhile, the Twins are 4-0 in their last four after an off day and 5-1 in their last six in game one of a series. Minnesota is 19-7 in their last six versus the AL Central and 41-17 in their last 58 home games.

Ross is coming off a pretty tough outing versus KC his last time up, as he got recked for five runs on seven hits from 1.13 innings. This start has been pushed back a day.

As for Odorrizzi, he’s got two great starts under his belt coming into this one, and I like him to pick up a third. I’m going Twins here.

Pick:
Minnesota Twins -195
