|Date & Time||Saturday July 6, 2019, 2:10 PM (EDT)|
Minnesota Twins -160 / Texas Rangers +140 O/U: 10
The Texas Rangers and the Minnesota Twins will continue their MLB series on Saturday.
In the Friday opener, the Twins ripped six runs in the second inning and kept it going in a 15-6 victory.
For the Saturday game, the Rangers will be sending out Jesse Chavez in the start. Over his 57.2 innings and 3-3 mark so far, Chavez has a 2.97 ERA with 56 Ks and 15 BBs.
Over on the Twins’ side, they’re going with Michael Pineda in the start Saturday. Across 86.2 innings and a 5-4 record so far, Pineda has a 4.78 ERA with 75 Ks and 15 BBs.
The Rangers are 5-1 in their last six Saturday games and 8-3 in their last 11 in game two of a series. Texas is 4-1 in Chavez’s last five starts and 4-0 in his last four on grass.
Meanwhile, the Twins are 6-0 in their last six in game two of a series and 14-3 in their last 17 Saturday games. Minnesota is 4-1 in Pineda’s last five starts and 4-1 in his last five on grass.
Chavez has two consecutive quality starts under his belt, with a total of three earned, 10 hits, 15 strikeouts and one homer in 12.1 innings in those. He’s been pretty solid since coming out of the pen overall, but did put up a loss his last time up.
As for Pineda, he stumbled in KC (five earned; 5.0 innings) but picked it up again his last time out with one earned on four hits in 6.0 innings. I like Pineda to keep it going here and help the Twins get a win.
