The Miami Marlins and Washington Nationals play game two of their series Tuesday night.

The Miami Marlins look for a win after splitting their last four games. The Marlins have scored 13 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in five of their last six games. The Marlins have won eight of their last nine games when scoring more than three runs. Dee Gordon leads Miami with 45 hits and 11 RBI while Adeiny Hechavarria and Giancarlo Stanton have combined for 40 RBI. The Miami Marlins have lost five of their last seven games on the road. Mat Latos gets the nod, and he’s 0-3 with a 6.86 ERA and 17 strikeouts this season. Latos is 3-2 with a 2.68 ERA and 42 strikeouts in his career against the Nationals.

The Washington Nationals look to stay hot after winning six of their last seven games. The Nationals have allowed four runs in their last three games and three or less runs in three of their last five games. The Nationals have won seven of their last eight games when allowing three or less runs. Offensively, Yunel Escobar leads Washington with 28 hits and seven RBI while Ryan Zimmerman and Bryce Harper have combined for 32 RBI. The Washington Nationals have split their last six games on their home field. Stephen Strasburg takes the hill, and he’s 2-2 with a 4.60 ERA and 30 strikeouts this season. Strasburg is 9-6 with a 3.58 ERA and 107 strikeouts in his career against the Marlins.

The Marlins are 4-0 in their last 4 during game 2 of a series and 1-5 in their last 6 games as a road underdog. The Nationals are 3-8 in their last 11 during game 2 of a series and 5-2 in Strasburgs last 7 starts with 4 days of rest. The Nationals are 5-0 in Strasburgs last 5 home starts vs. Marlins.

Latos has to have a good outing eventually and I'm not sure we can 100 buy in with the Nationals just yet. At this price, with two even teams, I'm going to take the insane plus money.
