The Houston Astros and the New York Yankees will pick up their MLB series once again on Saturday.

In the Thursday opener of this set, New York banged out a 10-6 win. On Friday, New York kept it going with a 4-1 win.

For the Saturday game, the Astros will be going with Wade Miley in the start. Over his 84.2 innings and 6-4 record this year, Miley has a 3.30 ERA with 71 Ks and 25 BBs.

Houston’s Jose Altuve was the top team hitter on Friday, logging a 3-for-4 effort with one walk.

Over on the Yankees’ side, they’re sending out Masahiro Tanaka on Saturday. In 92.0 innings and a 5-5 mark so far, Tanaka has a 3.23 ERA with 84 Ks and 20 BBs.

New York put up eight hits int he Friday game. Didi Gregorius and Gary Sanchez each had two hits there; Sanchez managed a two-run homer.

The Astros are 36-16 in their last 52 Saturday games and 2-7 in their last nine in game three of a series. Houston is 8-3 in Miley’s last 11 starts and 5-2 in his last seven with four days’ rest.

Meanwhile, the Yankees are 4-0 in their last four in game three of a series and 37-14 in their last 51 Saturday games. New York is 6-1 in Tanaka’s last seven Saturday starts and 2-6 in his last eight after a quality start.

Miley has been pretty solid this year overall. He has three quality starts in his last five appearances, but is also 1-2 across his last four due to a bit of flailing run support here and there.

As for Tanaka, he rolled through a complete-game shutout (two hits) against Tampa his last time up, but prior to that had been just okay with 12 earned over his previous three starts.

Miley should do well here, and it’s probably not a bad spot to take Houston.
