The Line: Baltimore Orioles -127 / Toronto Blue Jays +117 --- Over/Under: 8
The Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays face off on Sunday at Camden Yards for game three of their AL East series.
The Baltimore Orioles are the defending AL East Champs and they have split the first two games of this series with the Jays. On Saturday Alejandro De Aza, Chris Davis, and Jonathan Schoop each hit home runs as the Orioles scored seven runs on nine hits. Starting pitcher Ubaldo Jimenez allowed just one hit and struck out eight over 7.0 innings to get the win. For Sunday’s game the Orioles start Chris Tillman who allowed four hits and a run while striking out four over 6.2 innings to get the win against the Rays in his first start.
The Toronto Blue Jays are off to a solid start to the season but on Saturday they didn’t have any answers for the O’s. Jose Reyes, Steve Tolleson, and Edwin Encarnacion each had hits as the Blue Jays scored one run on three hits. Starting pitcher Aaron Sanchez allowed seven hits and three runs over 3.1 innings to take the loss. For Sunday’s game the Blue Jays start Drew Hutchison who allowed three hits and a run while striking out three over 6.0 innings to get the win against the Yankees on the road.
Baltimore is 5-1 in Sunday games, 36-16 in their last 52 home games, and 7-1 in Tillman’s last eight starts as a home favorite. Toronto is 8-4 in their last 12 games, 2-5 in Sunday games, and 1-5 in Hutchison’s last six road starts. Baltimore is 1-5 in Tillman’s last six starts against the Blue Jays.
This should be a good game meaning not a great betting game but it is a lean to Tillman at home as I just don’t see Hutchison being able to back up his last performance on the hill.
