The Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres begin a three-game series Friday night.
The Los Angeles Dodgers look to bounce back after getting swept by the Giants. The Dodgers have scored just six runs in their last three games but have scored at least five runs in seven of their last 10 games. The Dodgers have won 15 straight regular season games when topping three runs. Adrian Gonzalez leads LA with 24 hits and 15 RBI while Howie Kendrick and Alex Guerrero have combined for 22 RBI. The Los Angeles Dodgers are off to a horrible 1-5 start on the road this season. Zack Greinke takes the hill, and he’s 2-0 with a 1.83 ERA and 14 strikeouts this season. Greinke is 4-0 with a 1.80 ERA and 48 strikeouts in his career against the Padres.
The San Diego Padres look to stay hot after winning five of their last eight games. The Padres have scored at least five runs in five of their last eight games. The Padres have won nine of their last 13 games when topping thee runs. Matt Kemp leads SD with 23 hits and 14 RBI while Wil Myers and Will Middlebrooks have combined for 22 RBI. The San Diego Padres are off to an impressive 5-2 start on their home field. Andrew Cashner grabs the ball, and he’s 1-2 with a 2.65 ERA and 20 strikeouts this season. Cashner is 1-3 with a 2.17 ERA and 51 strikeouts in his career against the Dodgers.
