The Washington Nationals and the Philadelphia Phillies will meet up on the MLB diamond as they continue their series Tuesday.

In Monday’s game one of this set, The Phillies held off Washington in the ninth inning and ended up with a 4-3 vicory.

For the Tuesday game, the Nationals will be bringing out Stephen Strasburg in the start. Over his 12.2 innings and 1-0 mark this year, Strasburg has a 2.84 ERA with 17 Ks and three walks so far.

Kurt Suzuki was the only Nationals player with multiple hits in that game, with a two-run homer mixed in there. Brian Dozier also registered a solo shot for the Nats there.

Over on the Phillies’ side, they’re sending out Aaron Nola on Tuesday. Over 9.0 innings and a 1-0 mark thus far in the season, Nola has a 7.00 ERA with 10 strikeouts and seven BBs to his name.

Philly’s Rhys Hoskins went yard twice on Monday, with a pair of solo home runs. Odubel Herrera also managed a homer, but his was a two-run shot.

The Nationals are 7-3 in their last 10 in game two of a series and 9-0 in Strasburg’s last nine Tuesday starts. Washington is 22-6 in Strasburg’s last 28 starts in game two of a series and 67-24 in his last 91 starts.

Meanwhile, the Phillies are 6-1 in Nola’s last seven Tuesday starts and 22-8 in his last 30 starts with five days’ rest. Philly is 22-9 in Nola’s last 29 starts and 13-5 in his last 18 starts versus the NL East.

Strasburg had a bit of a sketchy outing in his first start this year with four earned runs at home versus the Mets, but tossed a gem In his last outing at Citi Field with 6.2 innings, zero earned, three hits and nine Ks.

Nola’s first start, conversely, was great (one earned; two hits; 6.0 innings) but April 3 in DC he coughed up six earned over 3.0 innings.

Strasburg seems to have things going pretty consistently these days, and I like him to lead the Nats to a win here.

Philadelphia Phillies -130
