The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Pirates will meet up on the MLB diamond to kick off their series Friday.

The Dodgers are coming off a two-game set versus the Rays this week. Los Angeles won 7-3 on Tuesday in the first game, but dropped Wednesday’s matchup 8-1 before a travel day Thursday.

For Friday’s outing, the Dodgers will be sending out Walker Buehler for the start. In his 49.1 innings and 4-1 mark so far, Buehler has a 3.83 ERA with 46 Ks and 10 BBs.

Over on the Pirates’ side, they just completed a series versus the Rockies. Pittsburgh lost the first two games of that set 5-0 and 9-3, but managed to get a win in the Thursday finale 14-6.

The Pirates will be going with Michael Feliz as their “opener” on Friday. This will be Feliz’s first career start, and he’s got a 2-0 record with a 4.63 ERA and 16 Ks this year.

The Dodgers are 6-2 in their last eight overall and 43-19 in their last 62 Friday games. LA is 47-23 in their last 70 after a loss and 6-0 in Buehler’s last six Friday starts.

Meanwhile, the Pirates are 6-2 in their last eight Friday games and 4-9 in their last 13 home games. Pitt is 0-4 in their last four in game one of a sieges and 5-13 in their last 18 versus the NL West.

Over his last three starts, Buehler has been pretty solid. He’s got three straight quality outings, adding up to 20.0 innings with a combined four earned runs on 16 hits. Buehler has also gone at least 5.1 innings in six straight starts.

I like Buelher to keep it going here, so I’m taking the Dodgers for the victory.

Pick:
Los Angeles Dodgers -169
