The Milwaukee Brewers and the Pittsburgh Pirates will meet up on the MLB diamond Saturday to continue their series.

In the Friday edition of this set, Milwaukee coughed up five runs in the bottom of the ninth inning after posting four in the eighth. The Brewers ended up taking it in 10 however; a 7-6 victory.

For Saturday’s game, the Brewers will send out Adrian Houser in the start. Over his 38.2 innings and 2-2 mark this year, Houser has a 3.26 ERA with 42 Ks and 16 BBs.
Over on the Pirates’ side, they’re going with Trevor Williams on Saturday. Across his 71.1 innings and 3-2 mark so far, Williams has a 4.54 ERA with 57 Ks and 13 BBs.

The Brewers are 4-1 in their last five Saturday games and 1-5 in their last six in game two of a series. The under is 14-6 in Milwaukee’s last 20 Saturday games and 4-1 in their last five in game two of a series.

Meanwhile, the Pirates are 4-1 in their last five in game two of a series and 1-5 in their last six Saturday games. Pittsburgh is 5-0 in Williams’ last five Saturday starts and 6-1 in his last seven home starts.

Houser has been up and down in his two starts since coming out of the pen. In those, he’s given up six earned on 10 hits with four walks and two homers in a total of 7.0 innings.

As for Williams, he’s given up 16 earned over his last three starts on 26 hits in 17.1 innings combined—but somehow won his last start.

Right now I’m not thrilled about either pitcher here, but I’m going to give a slight edge to the at-home Pirates who are playing well at PNC lately.

Pick:
Pittsburgh Pirates -102
