The Atlanta Braves and San Francisco Giants meet Tuesday in MLB action at AT&T Park.

The Atlanta Braves look for another victory after winning four of their last five games. The Braves have scored 18 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in five of their last six games. The Atlanta Braves have won five of their last six games when scoring at least four runs. Nick Markakis leads the Braves with 172 hits and 88 RBI while Freddie Freeman and Ozzie Albies have combined for 328 hits and 152 RBI. Mike Foltynewicz gets the ball, and he is 10-9 with a 2.75 ERA and 179 strikeouts this season. Foltynewicz is 2-3 with a 5.35 ERA and 26 strikeouts in his career against the Giants.

The San Francisco Giants are still looking for their first victory in the month of September. The Giants have scored seven runs in their last three games and three or less runs in 10 of their last 12 games. The San Francisco Giants have lost nine straight games when scoring three or less runs. Brandon Crawford leads the Giants with 123 hits and 50 RBI while Buster Posey and Evan Longoria have combined for 214 hits and 90 RBI. Andrew Suarez gets the ball, and he is 6-10 with a 4.33 ERA and 118 strikeouts this season. This will be Suarez’s second career game against the Braves.

The Braves are 4-1 in their last 5 Tuesday games, 1-4 in their last 5 during game 2 of a series and 0-4 in Foltynewiczs last 4 starts. The Giants are 2-5 in their last 7 during game 2 of a series, 0-8 in their last 8 overall and 5-2 in Suarezs last 7 home starts. The Braves are 5-11 in the last 16 meetings in San Francisco and the over is 3-1-1 in Foltynewiczs last 5 starts vs. Giants.

Foltynewicz has allowed one or less runs in four of his last five starts and has been one of the tougher pitchers in baseball to hit this season, as he has a .201 allowed batting average. Suarez has been hit or miss, and when he gets hit, he gets hit very hard. The San Francisco Giants have yet to win a game this month and the offense continues to lay an egg. At this point backing the Giants isn't an option, especially when I'm getting such cheap prices to continue fading.
