San Francisco Giants -123 / New York Mets +113 O/U: 8.5

The New York Mets and the San Francisco Giants will meet up on the MLB diamond to continue their series on Saturday.
The Giants banged out a 3-2 win in a 16-inning marathon in the opener Thursday, then in Friday’s game it took another extra inning for the Giants to emerge victorious 1-0.
For the Saturday matchup, the Mets will be sending out Walker Lockett in the start. Over 7.2 innings and an 0-1 record this year, Lockett has an 11.74 ERA with six Ks and three walks.
New York posted a great pitching/defensive battle on Friday, but lost the game on a miscue. Three Mets hitters (Ramos, Cano, McNeil) each had one knock there.
Over on the Giants’ side, they’re going with Jeff Samardzija in the start Saturday. Across his 105.1 innings and 7-7 record, Samardzija has a 3.93 ERA with 89 Ks and 29 BBs.
San Francisco had three hits on the night Friday and couldn’t get anything going until the 10th where Alex Dickerson scored the winning run on a decisive error by Mets left fielder Dominic Smith.
The Mets are 5-1 in their last six Saturday games and the over is 4-1 in their last five in game three of a series. New York is 4-2 in their last six road games and 4-2 in their last six overall.
Meanwhile, the Giants are 4-0 in their last four in game three of a series and 4-1 in Samardzija’s last five starts. San Fran is 1-5 in Samardzija’s last six home starts and 3-13 in his last 16 Saturday starts.
Lockett started things out rough this year on June 20 with six earned on five hits in 2.1 innings, but did a little better in Philly his last time up with four earned on five hits in 5.1 innings.
As for Samardzija, he’s got three straight quality starts (and three straight wins) to his credit, with a combined four earned in 21.2 innings of work.
I like Samardzija to keep things rolling here and help SF to a win.
