Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Boston Red Sox and Seattle Mariners meet Saturday in MLB action at Safeco Field.

The Boston Red Sox look for a bounce back victory after winning 12 of their last 18 games. The Red Sox have scored 13 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in eight of their last 13 games. The Boston Red Sox have won seven of their last eight games when scoring more than two runs. J.D. Martinez leads the Red Sox with 81 hits and 55 RBI while Andrew Benintendi and Mookie Betts have combined for 146 hits and 84 RBI. Steven Wright gets the ball, and he is 2-0 with a 1.21 ERA and 25 strikeouts this season. Wright is 2-1 with a 1.32 ERA and nine strikeouts in his career against the Mariners.

The Seattle Mariners look to stay hot after winning 12 of their last 15 games. The Mariners have scored 16 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in nine of their last 11 games. The Seattle Mariners have won 12 of their last 14 games when scoring more than one run. Jean Segura leads the Mariners with 97 hits and 43 RBI while Dee Gordon and Mitch Haniger have combined for 139 hits and 68 RBI. Wade LeBlanc gets the ball, and he is 2-0 with a 3.00 ERA and 43 strikeouts this season. LeBlanc is 0-0 with a 6.00 ERA and six strikeouts in his career against the Red Sox.

The Red Sox are 16-5 in their last 21 Saturday games, 21-5 in their last 26 during game 3 of a series and 1-4 in Wrights last 5 Saturday starts. The Mariners are 14-3 in their last 17 home games, 9-2 in their last 11 Saturday games and 11-0 in LeBlancs last 11 home starts. The under is 10-2 in the last 12 meetings in Seattle and the under is 8-1 in the last 9 meetings.

Wright hasn't allowed a run in each of the last six times he's taken the mound, and he's been a ground ball machine in his last two games. LeBlanc has been rather consistent as well this season, giving up no more than three runs in his last 10 games. The difference for me in this game is the Seattle Mariners confidence. The Mariners are easily one of the hottest teams in baseball and are playing with a certain energy that's hard to fade. They find ways to win and are a club that has a fire in its belly right now. I'll gladly take the even money with the red hot home team.
