The Los Angeles Angels and the Seattle Mariners will finish up their MLB series on Sunday.

In the Friday opener of this set, the Mariners managed a 4-3 win. On Saturday, LA came back to even it up with a 6-3 win.

For Sunday’s game, the Angels will be sending out Jose Suarez for the start. Suarez is LA’s No. 5 prospect and will be making his Major League debut here.
LA put up 11 hits in the Saturday victory and pulled away with three runs across the eighth and ninth innings. Kole Calhoun, Albert Pujols and Mike Trout each homered in the win.

Over on the Mariners’ side, they’re going with Marco Gonzales on Sunday. Over 72.2 innings and a 5-5 record so far, Gonzales has a 3.96 ERA with 52 Ks and 19 BBs.

The Mariners logged seven team hits in the loss Saturday. Edwin Encarnacion was the top hitter with a 2-for-3 night, three RBI and two homers.

The Angles are 4-1 in their last five in game four of a series and 5-12 in their last 17 games against a lefty starter. The under is 22-8 in LA’s last 30 in game four of a series and 9-4-2 in their last 15 Sunday games.

Meanwhile, the Mariners are 2-5 in their last seven Sunday games and 1-4 on Gonzales’ last five home starts. Seattle is 0-6 in Gonzales’ last six starts and 2-9 in his last 11 versus the AL West.

It’s been a mixed bag for Gonzales lately, as he’s been all over the place during this four-game losing streak of his. In that span, Gonzales has a couple of solid outings (three earned; 11 hits; 11.0 innings) and two real stinkers (9.0 innings; 11 earned).

Needless to say, I’m not super confident in Gonzales these days, so I’m going with the Angels here.
