Seattle Mariners -170 / Milwaukee Brewers +150 --- Over/Under: 7.5
The Milwaukee Brewers and Seattle Mariners battle Saturday after Milwaukee dominated Seattle 10-5 in the opener.
The Brewers and M's appeared to be dogfight three frames in. Seattle responded to Norichika's two-run double with Kyle Seager's two-run single during the bottom of the third. Milwaukee however then left the Mariners in the dust scoring eight straight, four runs alone on Yuniesky Betancourt's grand slam.
The Brewers also got in runs off of Jeff Biachi's RBI-single, Martin Maldonado's RBI-double and Aoki's RBI-single. Nick Franklin's single and Justin Smoak's home run added two more runs for the home team late.
Hisashi Iwakuma (10-5, 2.75 ERA) tries to tame Milwaukee in Game Two. Seattle is 5-7 however in Iwakuma's last dozen trips including 4-4 at Safeco Field. Iwakuma's home victories include the Houston Astros, Los Angeles Angles, Minnesota Twins, Oakland Athletics and Texas Rangers conceding seven runs, six earned, during 33.2 innings. Iwakuma has just fallen to Oakland and the Toronto Blue Jays at Safeco surrendering six runs during 14.1 frames.
Milwaukee comes back with Tom Gorzelanny (2-4, 2.78 ERA) who is 1-1 on the road. Gorzelanny beat the Colorado Rockies and fell to the Arizona Diamondbacks allowing four and two runs, none earned, during 5.1 and six innings. The Brewers are 8-9 in games when Gorzelanny gets a little action away from Miller Park. Seattle is 7-of-23 without an RBI and a Brendan Ryan walk against Gorzelanny. The M's will rebound from Friday night's letdown.
