As a team the Cardinals are hitting .265 with Matt Carpenter hitting .323, Kolten Wong hitting .315, and Matt Holliday hitting .314. The Arizona Diamondbacks are hanging around in the NL West and they have been playing solid baseball of late. The Diamondbacks are 6-4 in their last 10 games, 10-9 on the road, and they are five games behind the Dodgers in the National League West. St. Louis is 40-12 in their last 52 home games, 21-8 against a right handed starter, and 6-1 in Martinez’s last seven starts as a home favorite. Arizona is 6-1 in their last seven games, 6-0 as a road underdog, and 1-6 in Anderson’s last seven starts. Arizona is 1-6 in their last seven games against St. Louis.
I don’t love this one but I am going to take a shot with the underdog D-Backs here as Iike the way they have played recently and have been less enthusiastic about the Cards.
