The Line: St. Louis Cardinals -105 / Los Angeles Dodgers -105 --- Over/Under: 7.5
The Los Angeles Dodgers travel to Busch Stadium tor game three of the NLDS with the St Louis Cardinals.
The Los Angeles Dodgers evened the NLDS with a narrow 3-2 decision versus the Crdinals Saturday despite losing a late 2-0 lead. In the process a great performance on the mound from Zack Greinke went for naught as he tossed a two hit shutout for seven frames only to watch JP Howell serve up a two run homer in the 8th for a no decision. The Dodgers regained the lead in the bottom of the 8th when Matt Kemp slugged a leadoff homer. Dee Gordon and Adrian Gonzalez recorded RBI's in a two run second. Right hander Hyun-Jin Ryu returns from shoulder problems to face the St Louis Cardinals in game three of the NLDS. On the season Ryu is 14-7 with a 3.38 ERA over 26 outings.
The St Louis Cardinals chance of a two game sweep of the NLDS in Los Angeles ended up 1-1 heading back to Buch Stadium for game three. Starter Lance Lynn has been fantastic all season and was once again with two runs plated through six innings on seven hits in a no decision effort. The offense mustered five hits and three bases on balls and was held off the scoreboard before Matt Carpenter erased a 2-0 deficit with a two run jack in the 8th but Pat Neshick was tagged for a solo homer in the bottom of the inning to absorb the loss. Veteran John Lackey gets the call to the mound in the third game of the NLDS against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Lackey is 14-10 with a 3.82 ERA covering 31 starts split between Boston and St Louis.
No line has been released yet so please check back. In the meantime I'll try to find an advantage to exploit...
