Texas Rangers -145 / Kansas City Royals +135 O/U: 11
The Kansas City Royals and the Texas Rangers will continue their MLB series on Saturday.
In the first matchup of this set, the Royals took a 4-2 win. On Friday, Texas evened it up with a 6-2 victory.
The Royals will be sending out Homer Bailey on Saturday for the start. Across his 51.1 innings and 4-5 record this year, Bailey has a 5.79 ERA with 49 Ks and 23 BBs.
KC put up seven hits on Friday, but couldn’t get much going offensively. Whit Merrifield was the top hitter for the Royals, logging a 2-for-4 night with one strikeout.
Over on the Rangers’ side, they’re going with Lance Lynn on Saturday as the starter. Over 67.2 innings and a 6-4 mark this year, Lynn has a 4.66 ERA with 70 Ks and 22 BBs.
Texas ripped all six of their runs in the sixth inning on Friday. The big swing came from Joey Gallo, who notched a grand slam.
The Royals are 14-50 in their last 64 in game three of a series and 0-4 in their last four Saturday games. KC is 2-5 in Bailey’s last seven starts and the over is 9-2-2 in their last 13 Saturday games.
Meanwhile, the Rangers are 4-1 in their last five in game three of a series and 4-0 in Lynn’s last four home starts. Texas is 5-1 in Lynn’s last six starts following a quality outing and the over is 9-4 in their last 13 Saturday games.
Bailey had a couple of bad starts in May, with 10 earned on 12 hits in 6.0 combined innings, but did okay in Chicago his last time up with 4.1 innings, three hits and one earned.
As for Lynn, he’s riding a hot streak right now, with four straight quality outings and at least 6.0 innings pitched in each of his last six tries.
I like Lynn to keep it going here and put the Rangers in position for a win.
