The Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers meet Monday in MLB action at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

The Los Angeles Angels could use a win after losing nine of their last 12 games. The Angels have scored eight runs in their last three games and three or less runs in eight of their last 10 games. The Los Angeles Angels have lost eight of their last nine games when scoring three or less runs. Andrelton Simmons leads the Angels with 139 hits and 65 RBI while Justin Upton and Mike Trout have combined for 246 hits and 138 RBI. Matt Shoemaker gets the ball, and he is 1-0 with a 4.76 ERA and four strikeouts this season. Shoemaker is 4-2 with a 5.68 ERA and 24 strikeouts in his career against the Rangers.

The Texas Rangers could use another win after losing five of their last seven games. The Rangers have scored 32 runs in their last three games and four or more runs in six of their last nine games. The Texas Rangers have won five of their last seven games when scoring more than three runs. Shin-Soo Choo leads the Rangers with 136 hits and 61 RBI while Jurickson Profar and Nomar Mazara have combined for 224 hits and 137 RBI. Ariel Jurado gets the ball, and he is 2-4 with a 6.69 ERA and 13 strikeouts this season. This will be Jurado’s second career game against the Angels.

The Angels are 12-26 in their last 38 road games, 4-1 in Shoemakers last 5 road starts and 4-0 in Shoemakers last 4 starts. The Rangers are 9-4 in their last 13 vs. American League West, 5-12 in their last 17 Monday games and 1-5 in their last 6 games on grass. The under is 2-0-2 in Shoemakers last 4 road starts vs. Rangers and 6-2 in the last 8 meetings.

Shoemaker has proven to be a pretty solid pitcher when active, but he hasn't pitched since March due to surgery on his right arm and nerve issues. Say what you want about the Texas Rangers, but they have guys who can put up offense and take advantage of pitchers who are struggling. I'm not trying to lay any kind of juice with a pitcher who has been out of action nearly the entire season. I'll take the Rangers and the even money at home.

Texas Rangers +100
