Baltimore Orioles (19-44) at Toronto Blue Jays (29-35)
|Date & Time||Sunday June 10, 2018, 1:07 PM (EDT)|
The Line: Toronto Blue Jays -130 / Baltimore Orioles +120 --- Over/Under: 9
Sunday afternoon up at Rogers Centre, the Baltimore Orioles and the Toronto Blue Jays will be finishing up their MLB series.
The Blue Jays took the first two games of this set 5-4 and 5-1, then on Saturday the Jays logged a 4-3 walk-off win.
For the Sunday game, the Orioles will be bringing out RHP Alex Cobb. In his 52.1 innings and 2-7 record this year, Cobb has a 6.19 ERA with 32 Ks and 13 BBs.
Manny Machado is the top hitter for the Orioles this year, coming into the weekend with 76 hits, 32 runs, 18 homers and 50 RBI. On Saturday, Machado went 0-for-4.
Over on the Jays’ side, they’re going with Marco Estrada on Sunday. Across his 64.2 innings and 2-6 record this season, Estrada has a 5.29 ERA with 48 Ks and 17 BBs.
Tops at the plate for the Jays this year is Kevin Pillar, who brought 61 hits, 31 runs and 24 RBI into the weekend. On Saturday, Pillar had two hits.
The Orioles are 9-3 in their last 12 during game four of a series and 2-5 in their last seven Sunday games. Baltimore is also 2-5 in Cobb’s last seven road starts and 2-8 in his last 10 starts.
Meanwhile, the Blue Jays are 8-3 in their last 11 Sunday games and 1-4 in their last five during game four of a series. Toronto is also 11-4 in Estrada’s last 15 Sunday starts and 0-5 in his last five starts.
Cobb has three quality starts in his last four games, but did give up six earned in 3.2 innings against the White Sox back on May 23. Estrada had two games in a row where he gave up four earned, but did well against the Yankees his last time up with one earned in 6.0 innings. This should be a good pitching matchup and a close game, but I’m going to go with the O’s to eke one out.
