The Cubs are 44-15 in their last 60 Thursday games and 6-1 in Hendricks’ last seven starts. Chicago is 9-2 in Hendricks’ last 11 Thursday starts and 5-1 in his last six starts with four days’ rest.
Meanwhile, the Nats are 6-1 in their last seven Thursday games and the over is 4-1-2 in their last seven Thursday games. The under is 4-0 in Washington’s last four in game one of a series and they’re 3-8 in their last 11 versus the NL Central.
Hendricks has had a few bumps in the road here and there, but overall he’s pitched well, especially lately. In his last seven starts, Hendricks has five quality outings, and he’s sitting on three straight quality starts right now. In those three, he’s allowed jus three earned runs in 20.0 innings. I’m going to stick with Hendricks here and take the Cubs.
