The Golden State Warriors and Atlanta Hawks meet Monday in NBA action at the Philips Arena.
The Golden State Warriors could use a win here after losing six of their last nine games. The Golden State Warriors are averaging 115.8 points on 49.2 percent shooting and allowing 111.5 points on 45 percent shooting. Kevin Durant is averaging 30 points and 7.8 rebounds while Stephen Curry is averaging 29.3 points and 5.8 assists. Klay Thompson is the third double-digit scorer and Quinn Cook is dishing 2.3 assists. The Golden State Warriors are shooting 37.9 percent from beyond the arc and 82.2 percent from the free throw line. The Golden State Warriors are allowing 33.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 45.7 rebounds per game. The Golden State Warriors have lost their last six road games.
The Atlanta Hawks could also use a victory after losing 12 of their last 14 games. The Atlanta Hawks are averaging 107.4 points on 44 percent shooting and allowing 118.1 points on 46.9 percent shooting. Trae Young is averaging 15.6 points and 7.6 assists while Taurean Prince is averaging 15.1 points and 4.1 rebounds. John Collins is the third double-digit scorer and Kent Bazemore is grabbing 4.1 rebounds. The Atlanta Hawks are shooting 31.8 percent from beyond the arc and 74.2 percent from the free throw line. The Atlanta Hawks are allowing 37.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 43.9 rebounds per game. The Atlanta Hawks have lost five of their last six home games.
The Warriors are 10-3-1 ATS in their last 14 Monday games, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games and 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Hawks are 3-1-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 2 days rest, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The road team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The over is 5-2 in Hawks last 7 overall. The over is 4-1 in Warriors last 5 overall.
The Golden State Warriors have been a frustrating team to figure out, as they have some horrible losses under their belt regardless of the lineup changes. The Warriors are outscoring teams by just 0.5 points on the road this season and have been even worse ATS on the year. The Atlanta Hawks have obvious issues of their own and are just 4-4 ATS this season as a double-digit underdog. I'm not looking to get behind the Warriors as much as the next guy, but fading the Hawks and these big numbers has been just as profitable. I'll lay the big number if forced to play this game.
