The Charlotte Hornets hit the road for a battle with the Cleveland Cavaliers.  The Hornets are (13-23), coming off a 109-92 loss to the Boston Celtics.  The Cavaliers are (10-23), after falling to the Toronto Raptors, 117-97.

In the Hornets loss to the Celtics, Charlotte was guided on offense by PJ Washington.  Washington converted on 5 of 11 from the floor, hitting 2 foul shots, recording 15 points.  Miles Bridges added a double-double, finishing with 14 points and 10 rebounds.  Charlotte shot 39% from the floor and 35% from 3-point range.  The Hornets got out worked on the glass, being out rebounded 62 to 50.  The Hornets allowed 15 offensive rebounds.

In the Cavaliers loss to the Raptors, Cleveland was led during the game by Collin Sexton.  Sexton connected on 8 of 15 attempts from the floor, making all 5 foul shots, totaling 22 points.  Kevin Love contributed a double-double, registering 10 points and 11 rebounds.  The Cavaliers shot 42% from the floor and 26% from 3-point range.  Cleveland lost the game, due to their 3-point defense.  The Cavaliers allowed Toronto to connect on 17 3-pointers.

Recent Betting Trends:

Hornets are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 games.

Hornets are 0-6 SU in their last 6 games.

The under is 4-1 in Hornets last 5 games against the Eastern Conference.

Cavaliers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games.

Cavaliers are 5-12 SU in their last 17 games.

The under is 4-2 in Cavaliers last 6 games.

The two teams have been going in different directions.  The Hornets have lost 7 of their last 8.  The Cavaliers have won 4 of their last 6.  Charlotte has been mediocre on the road, having gone 6-12 away from Cleveland.  The Cavaliers have won 6 of the last 10 against the Hornets.  Neither offense has been great this year, as both rank 27th and 28th in scoring offense.  Both defense's are nearly equal as well, as both are giving up between 110 to 113 per game.  I'll side with Cleveland since the Cavaliers are at home and the Hornets are on a long losing streak.  Final score prediction, Cavaliers will win and cover, 109-104.
