The Charlotte Hornets need another victory to keep their playoff hopes alive. The Charlotte Hornets are shooting 34.9 percent from beyond the arc and 79.6 percent from the free throw line. The Charlotte Hornets are allowing 36.1 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 44 rebounds per game. The Charlotte Hornets have split their last eight road games.
The Cleveland Cavaliers look to play spoiler while snapping a nine-game losing streak. The Cleveland Cavaliers are averaging 104.6 points on 44.4 percent shooting and allowing 114 points on 49.4 percent shooting. Kevin Love is averaging 17 points and 10.9 rebounds while Jordan Clarkson is averaging 16.9 points and 2.4 assists. The Cleveland Cavaliers are allowing 37.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.7 rebounds per game. The Cleveland Cavaliers have split their last six home games.
The Hornets are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 1 days rest, 4-0 ATS in their last 4 vs. Eastern Conference and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall. The Cavaliers are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 1 days rest and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Hornets are 1-5-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Cleveland and 3-12-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings. The over is 6-2 in Cavaliers last 8 overall. The under is 4-0-1 in Hornets last 5 overall.
The Cleveland Cavaliers checked out a long time ago, so I don't expect the last game of the season to be any different. In their last five games alone, the Cavs are losing by an average of 14.8 points while allowing 54.3 percent shooting. The Charlotte Hornets don't exactly have pretty numbers, but they are winning as of late as they chase down the last playoff spot in the East, and they've covered four straight as well. While I bash the Hornets often and don't love laying chalk with them, this is a game they should win comfortably, especially with the Cavs getting blasted on the defensive end. I'll lay the reasonable number with the Hornets.
