Luka Doncic is averaging 19.6 points and 4.4 assists while Wesley Matthews is averaging 18.6 points and 2.6 rebounds. The Knicks are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 Friday games, 1-6 ATS in their last 7 vs. Western Conference and 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Mavericks are 4-13-1 ATS in their last 18 Friday games, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Atlantic and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Knicks are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Dallas and the road team is 6-2 ATS in the last 8 meetings. The over is 9-4 in Mavericks last 13 overall and the under is 4-1 in Knicks last 5 road games.
The Dallas Mavericks are a young, exciting team on the rise and has been able to compete with against some decent teams out of the gate. The problem is I'm not trying to lay considerable chalk with one of the worst defensive teams in the league. The Mavs are getting torched defensively, which includes being 28th in field goal percentage allowed and dead last in three point percentage allowed. I obviously don't like putting money on the Knicks, especially on the road, but getting points seems to be the play in this spot. Laying three buckets with the Mavericks is a no go for me given the lack of defense.
