The Los Angeles Clippers and Golden State Warriors meet Wednesday in game five of the NBA Western Conference playoffs at the Oracle Arena.

The Los Angeles Clippers need a victory here to save their season and force a game six on Friday. The Los Angeles Clippers are averaging 112.3 points on 43.8 percent shooting and allowing 124.3 points on 51 percent shooting. Lou Williams is averaging 22.3 points and 7.3 assists while Montrezl Harrell is averaging 19 points and 5.5 rebounds. Danilo Gallinari is the third double-digit scorer and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is dishing 2.5 assists. The Los Angeles Clippers are shooting 36.3 percent from beyond the arc and 79 percent from the free throw line. The Los Angeles Clippers are allowing 41.9 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 37.5 rebounds per game. The Los Angeles Clippers have won six of their last nine road games.

The Golden State Warriors look to wrap up this series and get ready for a second round meeting against the Houston Rockets. The Golden State Warriors are averaging 124.3 points on 51 percent shooting and allowing 112.3 points on 43.8 percent shooting. Kevin Durant is averaging 28.8 points and five rebounds while Stephen Curry is averaging 25 points and 5.3 assists. Klay Thompson is the third double-digit scorer and Draymond Green is grabbing 6.5 rebounds. The Golden State Warriors are shooting 41.9 percent from beyond the arc and 87.3 percent from the free throw line. The Golden State Warriors are allowing 36.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 47.8 rebounds per game. The Golden State Warriors won six of their last seven home games.

The Clippers are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 Conference Quarterfinals games, 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Warriors are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest, 28-10 ATS in their last 38 Conference Quarterfinals games and 10-21-1 ATS in their last 32 home games. The Clippers are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Golden State and 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The under is 17-7 in Warriors last 24 overall. The over is 12-4 in Clippers last 16 overall.

The Los Angeles Clippers are clearly outmatched in this series and lack of consistent offensive firepower from their starters results in them getting down big in the first quarter, pretty much putting the game out of reach before it even starts. Still, this line is a bit too steep for my taste. The Los Angeles Clippers are 11-3-1 ATS in their last 15 games as a double-digit underdog. The Golden State Warriors have failed to cover 10 of their last 15 games as a double-digit favorite, and five of those failed covers resulted in outright losses. The Warriors will win this game and advance to the round that will pretty much be the NBA Finals, but I'm siding with the boatload of points due to the line being too steep and with the way both teams handle double-digit numbers.
