The Portland Trail Blazers and Golden State Warriors meet Thursday in game two of the NBA Western Conference Finals at the Oracle Arena.

The Portland Trail Blazers have another chance to steal home court and head home with a 1-1 series tie. The Portland Trail Blazers are averaging 110.3 points on 43.7 percent shooting and allowing 109.8 points on 43.2 percent shooting. Damian Lillard is averaging 27.7 points and six assists while CJ McCollum is averaging 24.9 points and 5.5 rebounds. Enes Kanter is the third double-digit scorer and Al-Farouq Aminu is grabbing 6.6 rebounds. The Portland Trail Blazers are shooting 35.1 percent from beyond the arc and 77.4 percent from the free throw line. The Portland Trail Blazers are allowing 34.6 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 46.7 rebounds per game. The Portland Trail Blazers have lost four of their last seven road games.

The Golden State Warriors look for another victory to take a solid 2-0 series lead. The Golden State Warriors are averaging 117.9 points on 48.7 percent shooting and allowing 110.8 points on 44.2 percent shooting. Kevin Durant is averaging 34.2 points and 5.2 rebounds while Stephen Curry is averaging 25.2 points and 5.2 assists. Klay Thompson is the third double-digit scorer and Draymond Green is grabbing 9.3 rebounds. The Golden State Warriors are shooting 38.4 percent from beyond the arc and 82 percent from the free throw line. The Golden State Warriors are allowing 35.8 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.8 rebounds per game. The Golden State Warriors have won five of their last seven home games.

The Trail Blazers are 21-6 ATS in their last 27 Thursday games and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 1 days rest. The Warriors are 11-4 ATS in their last 15 Conference Finals games, 5-14 ATS in their last 19 Thursday games and 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games following a ATS win. The Trail Blazers are 9-23 ATS in the last 32 meetings in Golden State and the home team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The under is 13-5 in Warriors last 18 home games. The over is 25-9-2 in Trail Blazers last 36 games playing on 1 days rest.

The Portland Trail Blazers have failed to cover eight of their last 11 games as a road underdog. The Golden State Warriors have split their last 12 games ATS as a home favorite.

I'm not the type to overreact to one game, but the Portland Trail Blazers didn't play a lick of defense in game one and this was an issue with the Denver Nuggets three point shooters as well. Despite Kevin Durant not being on the floor, Portland easily allowed Steph and Klay to set a screen and get wide open looks. Why Portland isn't sending double teams, helping the screener and being more aggressive, forcing others to beat them, is beyond me. The fact the Trail Blazers had issues contesting Denver's three-point shooters is why I'm leaning toward this being an issue that won't be fixed. If the Golden State Warriors are going to get wide open looks offensively, the Trail Blazers have no chance in this game or series. The Warriors also did a great job on Lillard, forcing the drive and turning him over whenever he passed. Adjustments will be made, but the lack of defense from the Trail Blazers has me worried. So, I have to eat the chalk this time.

Pick:
Golden State Warriors -8
