The Golden State Warriors travel to the Toyota Center to take on the Houston Rockets tonight.
The Warriors picked up from right where they left off in their season opener, crushing the Pelicans in a 111-95 rout on Tuesday. Stephen Curry put on a show, pouring in 29 points in the first half before finishing with 40 points on 14 of 26 shooting. Festus Ezeli added 13 points while Andrew Bogut had 12 points but this really was a one-man show we witnessed and it was just too much for the Pelicans to handle.
Meanwhile, the Rockets were very poor in their season opener, losing to the Nuggets by 105-85 in a romp. James Harden led the scoring with 22 points but shot just six of 21 which was pretty much the way the night went for the Rockets as they shot just 34.5 percent from the field. Ty Lawson had just 12 points and six assists in his debut for the Rockets and Dwight Howard sat out the game due to his one-game ban after accumulating four flagrant fouls during the postseason.
In ATS trends, the Warriors are 4-0 ATS in their last four games following a win of more than 10 points and 5-2 ATS in their last seven road games, while the Rockets are 6-1 ATS in their last seven games following a double digit loss at home and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games.
I'm looking for Curry to carry the Warriors in a close road win over the Rockets who looked terrible in their season opener.
