The Cleveland Cavaliers and Indiana Pacers meet Saturday in NBA action at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
The Cleveland Cavaliers could use a win after losing 10 of their last 13 games. The Cleveland Cavaliers are averaging 102.4 points on 44.2 percent shooting and allowing 113.1 points on 49.2 percent shooting. Jordan Clarkson is averaging 16.6 points and 2.3 assists while Collin Sexton is averaging 14.6 points and three rebounds. Cedi Osman is the third double-digit scorer and Tristan Thompson is grabbing 11.1 rebounds. The Cleveland Cavaliers are shooting 35.2 percent from beyond the arc and 78.6 percent from the free throw line. The Cleveland Cavaliers are allowing 37.3 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 42.3 rebounds per game. The Cleveland Cavaliers have lost five of their last six road games.
The Indiana Pacers look for another victory to build on their four-game winning streak. The Indiana Pacers are averaging 108.5 points on 47.8 percent shooting and allowing 103.3 points on 44.8 percent shooting. Bojan Bogdanovic is averaging 16.7 points and four rebounds while Domantas Sabonis is averaging 14.2 points and 9.2 rebounds. Myles Turner is the third double-digit scorer and Thaddeus Young is grabbing 6.4 rebounds. The Indiana Pacers are shooting 37.3 percent from beyond the arc and 75.4 percent from the free throw line. The Indiana Pacers are allowing 35.7 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 43.4 rebounds per game. The Indiana Pacers have won five of their last six home games.
The Cavaliers are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 games playing on 0 days rest, 1-3-1 ATS in their last 5 road games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Pacers are 3-9 ATS in their last 12 vs. Eastern Conference and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 vs. NBA Central. The Cavaliers are 8-20-1 ATS in the last 29 meetings and the road team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The under is 5-1 in Pacers last 6 overall. The under is 4-1 in Cavaliers last 5 overall.
This line seems extremely odd, as the Indiana Pacers are head and shoulders the better team here and have a rest advantage. The Cleveland Cavaliers aren't putting out an NBA roster most nights and Kevin Love isn't playing either due to just returning to action. The Pacers seem to have found their form during their four-game winning streak and are winning by an average of 13.6 points in their last five games. The Pacers in a near pick em at home against arguably the worst team in the league may be the bet of the year. This line is a misprint?
Update: Clearly a misprint, but I'll still back the Pacers at home with the way they've played these last few games. The Cleveland Cavaliers get rocked nearly every time they take the court and aren't putting an NBA roster out there most nights. It's got to be Pacers or pass.
