The Milwaukee Bucks and the Los Angeles Clippers duke it out at the STAPLES Center on Tuesday night.
The Milwaukee Bucks have won five of their last eight games and they will be gunning for a third straight win after taking down the Spurs in a 106-103 home win on Sunday. Giannis Antetokounmpo led the team with 25 points, 10 rebounds and three assists, Eric Bledsoe added 23 points with five assists while Khris Middleton chipped in with 19 points. As a team, the Bucks shot 48 percent from the field and nine of 27 from the three-point line as they took control of the game with 41 points in the third quarter before holding off a rally from the Spurs in the fourth quarter. With the win, Milwaukee improved to 39-34 overall which currently has them in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Clippers have been in a bit of a slump as they’ve lost five of their last seven games but they will be celebrating following their 117-106 win over the red-hot Raptors on Sunday. Lou Williams led the team with 26 points and seven assists off the bench, Tobias Harris added 20 points while Milos Teodosic chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Clippers shot 46 percent from the field and eight of 18 from the three-point line dominated the second half by 64-46 to easily beat the Raptors after trailing by seven points at halftime. With the upset win, Los Angeles improved to 39-34 overall which is good for 10th place in the Western Conference.
Looking at the betting trends, the Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their last five games against a team with a winning record, 1-4 ATS in their last five road games against a team with a winning home record and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall. Meanwhile, the Clippers are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games, 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games following a win of more than 10 points and 1-6 ATS in their last seven games following a win.
Head to head, the under is 4-0 in the last four meetings in Los Angeles and the underdog is 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings.
The Clippers haven’t been playing at their best but they just took down the red-hot Raptors in their last outing and need to keep winning to stay in the playoff race. The Bucks have been building a bit of momentum and they will be confident following their narrow win over the in-form Spurs so this could be a close contest. You could make an argument for either side here, but I’m leaning towards the Clippers to stay hot with a win at home against the Bucks who have lost four of their last six road games.
