The Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers meet Sunday in NBA action at the Staples Center.
The Sacramento Kings could use a feel good victory after losing six of their last seven games. The Sacramento Kings are averaging 99.4 points on 45.3 percent shooting and allowing 106.7 points on 47.3 percent shooting. Zach Randolph is averaging 14.5 points and 6.7 rebounds while Buddy Hield is averaging 13.3 points and 1.9 assists. Willie Cauley-Stein is the third double-digit scorer and De'Aaron Fox is dishing 4.3 assists. The Sacramento Kings are allowing 38.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 40.6 rebounds per game. The Sacramento Kings have lost six of their last eight road games.
The Los Angeles Lakers could also use a victory here after losing six of their last eight games. The Los Angeles Lakers are averaging 108.5 points on 46.2 percent shooting and allowing 109.9 points on 45.7 percent shooting. Kyle Kuzma is averaging 16 points and 1.9 assists while Julius Randle is averaging 16.3 points and eight rebounds. The Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 Sunday games. The Lakers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 Sunday games, 12-4 ATS in their last 16 home games and 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Kings are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Los Angeles, the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings and the under is 7-1-1 in the last 9 meetings.
The Sacramento Kings continue to rest guys as they tank away for a top draft pick, and they're on the end of a back to back. The Los Angeles Lakers have cooled off as well and aren't the same team without Lonzo Ball running the point, but they have been money at home in the second half of the season, especially at home where they've covered 12 of their last 16 games. It's always tough to cap games when two teams have nothing to play for at this point, but I'll side with the Lakers and the reasonable line based on their success at home the last couple of months.
